June 17, 2016- Earlier this week, on June 15, 2016, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform released a 118-page “discussion draft” postal bill know by the short title - Postal Service Reform Act of 2016. When commenting on the bill, President Hogrogian said, "We have been working with Members of Congress to achieve sensible postal reform for several years; it is a slow process. Our National Officers and Legislative Department are working diligently to dissect and evaluate the many components of the discussion draft.” We will continue working with the other Postal Unions and Members of Congress to reach a consensus on legislation that is acceptable to the NPMHU and other labor representatives, mail handlers and other postal employees, and the USPS and the public as a whole.
