National Day of Action; Friday November 14, 2014
As most members know, the NPMHU joined with the American Postal Workers Union (APWU), the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC), and the National Rural Letter Carriers Association (NRLCA) to form the Postal Union Alliance. Together, the four postal unions have united forces to protect service, fight for our livelihoods, and defend our great national treasure, the U.S. Postal Service.
By way of the joint call to action that was mailed to all Local Presidents on October 17, 2014, we are collectively announcing a National Day of Action. On Friday, November 14, 2014, the Board of Governors will hold their final public meeting of the year. All Postal Union members will send a unified message to the Postmaster General and the Board of Governors: Stop Delaying America’s Mail!
Please hold the date and begin now to organize activities in your area to help spread the message. We urge activists from the four unions to work together to organize rallies or press conferences in your areas.
