Wyoming Local 319 to Amalgamate with Colorado Local 321

November 12, 2021 Notice to Local Presidents (pdf)

On November 12, 2021, all ballots received from Colorado mail handlers regarding the referendum vote deciding the fate of efforts to amalgamate Local 319 into Local 321 were counted in Washington DC.

Colorado mail handlers voted overwhelmingly in support of the proposed amalgamation, with 87% voting in favor.  This is a similar margin of support as that shown by Wyoming mail handlers, when 93% voted in favor of the amalgamation as reported by the count occurring on September 30, 2021.  The amalgamation vote, as authorized by Article XIII, Section 1 of the NPMHU National Constitution, has established a clear and decisive mandate in favor of the proposal to amalgamate Wyoming with Colorado.  The proposal was also supported by the National Executive Board, and both Local Union Executive Boards.

The National Office will assist the Colorado and Wyoming leadership to facilitate the amalgamation of Locals 319 and 321 by December 31, 2021.
