Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Labor Day is more than a holiday, it’s a reminder of what we’ve fought for and what we’ve won: the 8-hour workday, weekends, overtime pay, safer jobs. None of it was handed to us. We earned it.

And we can’t go back. Not to longer hours, lower wages, or unsafe jobs. Not to a time when workers had no voice.

LIUNA members built the backbone of this country. And we’re still building—stronger wages, safer worksites, and a better future for our families.

This Labor Day, we honor the past, fight for the present, and build for the future. Together, we win.

As you celebrate with family and friends, take a moment to be proud of your union, your hard work, and the victories ALL workers have fought for and won. And if you are grilling, choose union-made because what we buy is part of the fight too.

Thank you for everything you do, LIUNA family. Keep rising, keep building, and let’s keep moving forward together as ONE. Together, we’re unstoppable. Together, we're growing our power.
