On Wednesday, December 7, 2011, the National Postal Mail Handlers Union and the United States Postal Service again agreed to extend the deadline for their bargaining over the terms of a new National Agreement.  As earlier announced, the deadline previously was extended from November 20 through December 7.  The parties have now agreed to a new deadline of December 16, 2011.  The parties will continue to meet and discuss the important issues that need to be resolved in our joints efforts to reach a negotiated settlement.
